My name is Catarina, I'm from Lisbon and I work in a small space just outside the Lisbon doors.
I grew up in a house where a taipal rose to the sky of the attic, where pigments of all colors peeked out from inside glass jars and from a wooden box the teks were always ready to go into service.
Since then, I never wanted the smell of baked ceramics to be a fault, and I came later to graduate in Sculpture at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Lisbon. I completed my studies in various areas of ceramics such as tiles, pottery, raku, at the António Arroio Art School (Lisbon), at CENCAL (Caldas da Rainha), at the Convento Workshops (Montemor-o-Novo), among others.
At a certain point, my path also passes through the construction of puppets where I learn to work and explore new materials, such as fiberglass and metal.
Today, I divide my time between the workshop and classes, and the tools that once excited me up there are now working with me.
